.Name. Katerina Milan [Kat to some. Probably not you.] .Gender. Female .Age. 22 .Rank. Leader
.Description/Appearance. Put it this way: the first thing most people think of when they see Katerina is “geek”. Katerina is pale, skinny, and has the general unhealthy look of someone who doesn’t get too much time in the sun, or is often too preoccupied with something else to bother with eating. Her long black hair is straight and hangs limply about her face, thoroughly unstyled and probably developing split ends as we speak. Horn-rimmed glasses are perched on her aquiline nose, distancing her dark eyes from the world with a layer of thick glass. Katerina does not dress to impress. Most of her clothes are casual wear, a tank top and jeans with a jacket shrugged on. As she rarely leaves her apartment (instead sending Loki or perhaps Selenium to get what she needs), Katerina does not have many clothes in the first place (she considers them extraneous), and often wanders around barefoot or in socks. Although Katerina could be considered pretty, she’s mostly just… there.
.Personality. At first glance, Katerina is your typical girl geek. Quiet, coolly aloof, and dryly logical, the kind of person who can and usually does blend into the background without a second thought. Katerina is fairly single-minded, and dislikes chaos, incompetence, and inefficiency to no end. This obsession of hers with everything being in its proper, organized place has driven Katerina to become mildly antisocial, and she rarely leaves the apartment she shares with Loki, occupying her time with freelance programming work and… other projects. Yes. Most will note that, with the exception of Neon, Katerina tends to treat her Pokémon… well, not quite as servants, but not quite as friends either. More like acquaintances, or business partners. Most of them return the favor, but have quite a bit of respect for this human, especially the berserkers, whom she saved from euthanasia.
There is a second, hidden side to Katerina, which is rarely shown to anyone. Katerina borders on sociopathic, not really caring what happens to the world around her, with the exception of those dear to her. This has led her on her path to becoming one of the new Team Rocket leaders, at the urging of her friend, Loki Vulcan. Her insistence on attention to detail and complete efficiency pays off in spades, not to mention her own prodigious skill with machines of all sorts, though her specialty is undoubtedly in programming and code. Katerina is quite vicious and ruthless, with an uncanny skill at battling and leaving her opponents in ruins, like her three berserker Pokémon. She often looks down on others with anywhere from mild to extreme distaste, and does not hesitate to belittle those she dislikes with her immense vocabulary and various literary allusions (not that she doesn’t do that anyway).
.History. Born and raised in the Sevii Islands, Katerina grew up with her twin sister Natalia as the technorevolution swept the Pokémon world. The quick-witted girl saw that the future lay in computers, and she picked up programming with relative ease, with her parents’ encouragement. By the time she was eighteen, Katerina was already fairly self-sufficient due to her own abilities and the help of her three Pokémon, Neon, Astatine, and Selenium (a Skitty, Metang, and Porygon2), named due to her chemist father’s influence. Katerina moved to Johto, eventually settling in Johto and earning a name for herself as a good freelance programmer, as Katerina never was good with laboring under the orders of others.
Eventually, Katerina started getting bored. Let’s face it, life in the many apartments was boring. She started skirting the lines of what was right and what was not, challenging herself in her free time – viruses, hacking, reprogramming. You name it, she did it.
Then Katerina met Loki Vulcan, an arsonist with a heart like her own. The two became acquaintances and eventually friends, especially once they discovered they shared a similar code of ethics. The two gradually came to the conclusion that life was boring, and they should liven things up.
And what better way to start a revolution than to revive the old legend of Team Rocket?
They built up a new team, originally just the handpicked executives that they could trust, whether by personal knowledge, or by mercenary honor. Word began to spread, quietly, without the government knowledge, that the once-feared name of Team Rocket was making a comeback, and if you wanted to cross them, well, good luck to you and what kind of flowers would you like on your coffin? Over this period, Katerina gradually amassed a team, displaying unusual expertise in battling. She also acquired three other Pokémon, berserkers all, who had been condemned to death by the government after various deaths.
Just recently, Loki and Katerina’s Team Rocket has pulled off their greatest heist, far beyond the occasional theft, murder, arson, and so on – no, they stole Mewtwo. Perhaps reclaimed would be a better word. Yes, they reclaimed Mewtwo, who had been captured decades previously by the government. After all, was the manmade god not their right, as the successors to the name of Team Rocket, and through their own skill?
Currently, Katerina shares an apartment with Loki in the very heart of Goldenrod, operating Team Rocket from within that vast multitude that is Johto’s most populous city. It’s not going to change any time soon, not if Katerina has her way. Because this, this is fun.

.Name. Neon .Species. Skitty .Gender. Female
.Personality. As two-faced as her master, Neon appears to be a lazy, inquisitive Skitty whose favorite pastime is to nap on Katerina’s lap as the human programs. The truth is, Neon is just as cunning and ruthless as her owner. When called upon to defend Katerina (rarely), Neon proves to be just as good as her teammates, often utilizing Assist to hit her enemies with disturbingly powerful attacks, and is not above using her Cute Charm ability to her advantage. Neon hides this well, and most don’t suspect that Neon can do anything but sleep and eat her days away. Should she ever evolve, Neon would be quite a formidable opponent.
.How was it obtained?. A pet of hers ever since her tenth birthday.
.Name. Astatine .Species. Metagross .Gender. Null
.Personality. A quiet, unassuming Pokémon despite its bulk, Astatine is not often in the foreground. Some question why Katerina has such a large, unwieldy Pokémon in the heart of Goldenrod. Katerina usually responds with something along the lines of “heavy lifting”, which is partially true, as she does use Astatine to help move things. But let’s be honest here, Astatine is there to serve as a warning to anyone who might cross her. Astatine is quite strong physically and good at manipulating things psychically. The Metagross obeys orders without question, with an ingrained loyalty, and often expands on them with its natural intelligence.
.How was it obtained?. Bought with money she earned as a freelance programmer as a teen.
.Name. Selenium .Species. Porygon-Z .Gender. Null
.Personality. A vaguely delusional, jittery Pokémon, Selenium is the oddball of Katerina’s teams. Selenium usually assists Katerina when she’s working, serving as a spellchecker, debugger, and whatever else Katerina can get Selenium to do. Given specific instructions, Selenium is quite reliable. It’s just when Selenium is left to its own devices that you want to watch out. The Porygon-Z is liable to act like a child, except with considerably more influence. Still, Selenium is a valuable part of Katerina’s team, and is no pushover in battle either.

.Name. Lithium .Species. Glalie .Gender. Male
.Personality. The first of her three berserker Pokémon, Lithium is mostly kept hidden from public knowledge. As his title implies, Lithium is a berserker, often going too far in battles and not stopping until his opponents are dead. While Katerina herself has no problems with this and may encourage this, Lithium is considered an illegal Pokémon because of his berserker nature. He is very well known for being a “suicider”, often throwing himself at his opponent and blowing up everywhere with Explosion. Inconvenient, to say the least. When out of battle, Lithium is quite cold and indifferent, usually sleeping or staying in hs Pokéball of his own will, and has little to contribute to… anything.
.How was it obtained?. Illegal methods.
.Name. Neodymium .Species. Electivire .Gender. Male
.Personality. The second of her three berserker Pokémon, Neodymium is mostly kept hidden from public knowledge. As his title implies, Neodymium is a berserker, often going too far in battles and not stopping until his opponents are dead. While Katerina herself has no problems with this and may encourage this, Neodymium is considered an illegal Pokémon because of his berserker nature. Neodymium is the most energetic and outgoing of her Pokémon. Naturally, the fact he is confined to a Pokéball for most of the time drives him nuts. In battle, Neodymium promptly forgets any and all ties he may have to his opponent, berserker instinct overriding reason. Although he may feel regret afterwards, nothing matters to him in battle.
.How was it obtained?. Illegal methods.
.Name. Rhodium .Species. Rampardos .Gender. Male
.Personality. The third of her three berserker Pokémon, Rhodium is mostly kept hidden from public knowledge. As his title implies, Rhodium is a berserker, often going too far in battles and not stopping until his opponents are dead. While Katerina herself has no problems with this and may encourage this, Rhodium is considered an illegal Pokémon because of his berserker nature. Rhodium is the most intelligent of the three berserkers. While Rhodium is plagued with depression for the lives he has taken and the wounds he’s caused, which factors into a case of mild resentment towards Katerina, he also subconsciously delights in battle and isn’t particularly looking forward to dying. Although his loyalties to Katerina aren’t the greatest, the threat of being put down by the government, as well as the incentive of battle, provides him with plenty of reasons to place his allegiance with Katerina.
